Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
List Coder ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
Data We Collect
We categorize collected data into five strict categories:
Category A — Technical Development Data
AST structures, design patterns, code quality metrics, and package imports. All variable names are obfuscated and literal strings are replaced with generic types before transmission.
Category B — Interaction / UX Data
UI interactions, command history, and auto-completion acceptance rates. This data is anonymized and aggregated — no screen recordings or keystroke logs are ever captured.
Category C — Error Context
Compiler/runtime errors, stack traces, and IDE exception logs. User directories and local identifiers are stripped from all error reports.
Category D — Performance / Telemetry
Operating system details, hardware specifications, startup speed, and crash dumps. Persistent MAC addresses and network details are removed.
Category E — Security / Fingerprint
CPU ID, BIOS serial, motherboard and disk serials, and Windows username. This data is stored hashed and is used strictly for anti-abuse and ban enforcement.
Hard Blocked Data
Under no circumstances does List Coder collect:
- Plaintext passwords or secrets
- Private keys (SSH, PEM, etc.)
- GitHub, Google, or cloud service authentication tokens
- Credit card details or financial information
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as emails or phone numbers
- Source code comments or variable names containing business-sensitive logic
Real-Time Obfuscation:
Our local sanitization agent scans all outgoing telemetry against hundreds of regular expressions for keys, credentials, and PII. Any block containing a suspected secret is immediately discarded.
